WHAT WE DO

We collaborate with BIPOC artists, healers, and activists to combat loneliness and isolation and cultivate greater resilience for people who have experienced trauma. We provide culturally relevant trauma healing support in smaller, more intimate containers and community-building events where people can integrate into a larger community of mutual support.

We build resilient intergenerational communities of belonging.

Vision

We envision a world where intergenerational communities heal their experiences of trauma and disconnection. Where the most vulnerable of us come together through the transformative power of creativity, connection, and love-based engagement, alleviating loneliness and isolation, fostering a deep sense of belonging, and cultivating liberation while nurturing collective growth for all.

Our Story

The work of Align with Purpose is rooted in years of mentorship with Beverly Grant of Mo’ Betta Green, Dr. Rachel Harding of the Veterans of Hope Project, Lakshmi Nair of Satya Yoga Cooperative, and Sarah Naomi's grandmother, Dorothy Mae Parsons, who created a safe and nurturing space for their family and extended community through weekly Sunday dinners.

In 2023, Sarah Naomi founded Align with Purpose, a social and healing justice project that bridges their work in the trauma field with their experiences of building resilience within their community. Align with Purpose serves the Denver community through collaborations with BIPOC artists, healers, and activists who are deeply embedded in their communities.

We offer trauma healing support which incorporates various modalities, such as yoga, sound healing, acu-detox, grief and rage ceremonies, and identity-based support groups. In addition to these groups, Align with Purpose hosts community gatherings open to all ages and identities, with a focus on maintaining 75% or more BIPOC participation. These gatherings provide spaces for joy, connection, culturally-based care, mutual aid, spiritual practice, and opportunities to remember and practice collective care at a community level.

Through Align with Purpose, this collective of artists, healers, and activists is cultivating resilient communities grounded in healing justice, mutual support, and the collective well-being of all.
